Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy · Brookhaven

A true hard-shell chamber, not a soft-shell bag.

Most of what is marketed as hyperbaric in wellness spaces is a soft-shell unit running barely above room pressure. Ours is a certified medical-grade chamber at 2.2 ATA, monitored by our team throughout.

Sessions run 60 to 90 minutes in our HPO Tech Zegeuma hard-shell chamber, with oxygen delivered through an integrated BIBS system and real-time pressure monitoring.

Why the chamber matters

Not all hyperbaric is the same thing.

Certified hard-shell, not fabric

A rigid, pressure-rated chamber built to clinical standards — ASME PVHO, CE and ISO 13485 among them. Soft-shell units cannot hold comparable pressure.

2.2 ATA, monitored throughout

Pressure builds gradually over 10 to 15 minutes and is monitored in real time by our team for the whole session.

Integrated oxygen delivery

Oxygen is delivered through a built-in BIBS system rather than an add-on concentrator.

Supervised, not self-serve

Our team handles pressure control, oxygen delivery, safety checks and your comfort from start to finish.

If you have been in a soft-shell unit before, this is a different experience.

What a session is like

How a session works.

1

Before you arrive

Wear cotton. Skip oils and lotions, and leave electronics outside the chamber.

2

Pressurizing

You settle in and the chamber pressurizes to 2.2 ATA over 10 to 15 minutes. Most people feel a mild ear sensation, like a plane descending.

3

The session

Sixty to ninety minutes breathing oxygen-enriched air. Most clients read, rest or sleep.

4

Coming out

Gradual depressurization, then hydrate and stretch lightly. No downtime — you go straight back to your day.

The equipment

What you are actually stepping into.

HPO Tech Zegeuma

A rigid hard-shell chamber, 30 inches across and 80 inches long, built to clinical certification standards.

2.2 ATA / 18 PSI

Roughly the pressure you would feel 40 feet underwater — far beyond what a soft-shell unit can reach.

BIBS oxygen system

Oxygen is delivered through an integrated built-in breathing system, with pressure monitored in real time.

Certification-compliant: ASME PVHO, PED, CE/MDR, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and NFPA among others.

Straight about what this is

What hyperbaric is and is not.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Balanced is provided for general wellness and performance support. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and we will not tell you otherwise. What we can tell you is exactly what the chamber is, what a session involves, and what it costs — so you can decide whether it belongs in your routine.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

How is this different from the hyperbaric chambers I see advertised?
Most units marketed for wellness are soft-shell and run barely above normal atmospheric pressure. Ours is a rigid, certified hard-shell chamber operating at 2.2 ATA, with integrated oxygen delivery and real-time monitoring.
What does a session feel like?
Most people feel a mild pressure change in the ears while the chamber pressurizes, similar to a plane landing. After that it is quiet and comfortable — many clients read, rest or fall asleep.
How long is a session?
Sixty to ninety minutes inside the chamber, plus ten to fifteen minutes of gradual pressurization at the start and depressurization at the end.
Is there downtime?
None. You hydrate, stretch lightly and carry on with your day.
What should I wear?
Cotton clothing. Avoid oils and lotions, and leave electronics outside the chamber.
Do I need to be evaluated first?
A provider evaluation may be required before your first session, depending on your health history. We will tell you when you book.
How much does it cost?
A single session is $150. Memberships run from $199 to $995 a month depending on how often you plan to come, and session packages are available.
